Designing and installing a kitchen is a major project and when it’s happening in your own home, it needs to be done right. At Crossman Craft Kitchens, our kitchen design & installation service is fully managed in-house to ensure quality and peace of mind at every step. We’ve seen the confusion and poor results that come from rushed jobs and third-party fitters, and we do things differently.

Why Process Matters

Many homeowners are tempted by deals that look great on paper: huge discounts, interest-free credit, “installed by Christmas” promises. But when the work begins, things often go wrong and there’s no one to take responsibility. The job gets passed between designers, suppliers, and fitters, and the customer is left in the middle trying to fix it all.

That’s not how we work.

Our Lead-In Time

We’re not the right fit for anyone in a rush. A proper kitchen design & installation takes time to design and plan — and then more time to check every detail. Even if we had availability, we need at least four weeks for planning and final checks. On average, our lead-in time is six to eight weeks.

This time isn’t just about us — it’s about you. It ensures the final result is something you’ll be proud to live with for years.

Step 1 – Initial Visit

We start by visiting your home in Suffolk. We’ll get to know how you use the space, what you need from your kitchen, and take precise measurements. This first meeting is all about understanding your lifestyle, not just your room size.

Step 2 – The Proposal

Within 72 hours, we’ll send you a full proposal. This includes a design based on our meeting, carefully selected products, and links to our kitchen brochure. You’ll see where each product comes from and exactly what page to find it on.

From there, we’ll refine it together. Most clients go through 2–3 revisions before landing on the final design. That’s completely normal — and part of the creative journey.

We only offer design and supply, or full design and installation. We do not offer fit-only services or install third-party products.

Step 3 – Design Consultation

Once the concept is in place, we meet again for your dedicated design consultation. This is where your ideas really start to come together, and your kitchen starts to feel real. We look at layout refinements, product choices, and finishes in more detail all guided by our in-house designer.

Step 4 – Book Your Installation

On the same day as your consultation, we’ll finalise paperwork and book your installation once the deposit is paid. Because we’ve designed and will install the kitchen ourselves, there’s no confusion about who’s in charge — and no waiting on third-party fitters.

If something unexpected comes up, we deal with it. Simple as that.

Do you offer supply-only kitchens?
Yes, we offer design and supply packages for clients who already have a trusted installer. However, we don’t install third-party products or offer fitting-only services; we believe full control delivers the best results.

What’s your usual lead time for a new kitchen?
Our typical lead time is six to eight weeks. This gives us time to design, plan and prepare everything properly. Even if our diary was empty, we’d still need at least four weeks for design, revisions, and checks.

Can you install a kitchen that’s already been designed by someone else?
No, we only install kitchens we’ve designed and supplied ourselves. This allows us to take full responsibility for the final outcome and avoid the common pitfalls of fragmented projects.

What if I need changes during the design process?
That’s completely normal. Most clients go through 2–3 revisions before settling on their final design. We encourage feedback, and we’ll keep working until you’re happy with the plan.

Do I have to visit your showroom?
We operate a personal, appointment-based service. We’ll come to you, take accurate measurements, and discuss your needs in the comfort of your home  or online, if preferred.
