This project in Eye, Suffolk involved transforming an underused corridor and storage area into a fully functional downstairs toilet, designed to be both practical and visually impressive. The space had previously been stripped back and used as a walkway, offering little value to the home, so the goal was to completely reconfigure it into a usable and well-integrated internal room.
The client wanted a high-quality, design-led finish, with standout features including patterned floor tiles, brick-effect textured wall tiles, and a bespoke stone basin. A key requirement was also to neatly box in the existing oil boiler in a way that looked intentional and seamless, while still allowing for access and long-term usability.
Starting from a bare shell, the project involved full preparation, structural adjustments, plumbing, tiling, and finishing. The result is a stylish and functional downstairs WC that feels like it has always been part of the home—delivering both everyday convenience and a strong visual impact.
